The Akasawa recreation forest is located in Agematsu town which is one of the old post town on Nakasendo. You have to drive about 20 kms west from Route 19 (which is the modern version of Nakasendo in Kiso area) into deep forest.
Just before the begining of the rainy season, I visited the forest.
